This type study project was to investigate different forms of type from sans serif to decorative. The emphasis was to develop different display type. This is a work in progress.

Elaborate Contraptions is a book about how to plan and build a chain reaction that performs a simple task. It outlines the different principles of physics and building in order to build one of your own, and then demonstrates start to finish how we built ours. It explains how to solve a problem creatively and how to work out the kinks to make your machine run smoothly.

The handbills project was done in response to working at the publicity center on my campus. Hundreds of handbills would be ordered for every event, and in a lot of cases sit unused. This project took all of the handbills left over from old events that were sitting around, and were folded into paper airplanes to show how this marketing strategy is ineffective and wasteful. In addition to the left over handbills, 100 new airplanes were created and distributed to the programing offices, with suggestions for alternate publicity, and an opportunity to give feedback.

Cyanimals is a illustration blog that I started to channel my need to make tiny cute things. This way I can focus a little time out of my day to make a new animal with its eyes dangerously low on its face. Follow the progress of cyanimals at cyanimals.tumblr.com

This is a series of prints I did based on different mythical creatures. They were done based on names of creatures that could be broken up into stacks. All are illustrated and hand screened by myself. Each had an edition of 30.

MP33 is a record store. MP33 is a record store. With actual records. But this record store is not full of scratched up used vinyl from people’s basements or garages. This record store is selling the latest releases as well as an older collection of new vinyl.

But here’s the twist. Along with all vinyl purchases come digital copies of the album. That means you can have the rich audio quality of a new record, and the easy portability of an mp3.
